Same problem that Padmavyuha described above but earlier OS 10.4.9 intel, syncs 87 of 144 contacts , then freezes for a good 3 or 5 minutes and quits … It’s a friend’s computer so I don’t have all the info. Let me know if you want more debug info …

Just out of curiosity, I don’t suppose there’s any chance that weird characters in the Contacts records are screwing up the sync? I know that my friend was using some obscure ASCII character to flag particular items in his Outlook contacts, which he was previously syncing with his phone from winxp. Just looked it up, it’s the ‘currency’ symbol ASCII 164 (¤). Is there any chance that this (or accented characters in other contacts records) is causing the problem?

I have no way of checking which is the 77th contact on the phone to see what its contents are, since there’s no way to tell in what order the phone is sending them to the mac.

Same problem as piecce, here - 10.5.6 intel, iSync 3.0.2, 5310 plugin gets part-way through syncing contacts (77 of 400) and quits with indistinct error messages. Any clues?

Alas, my friend I was helping to escape from the Dellmouth has taken his new macbook pro back to apple, as without sync he’s sunk - I said I’d see if there was any joy to be had…

I need some help. I installed the plugin ( unzip the dmg and install automaticly). What sould I do now??? You always talk about locations /Library/PhonePlugin ….. In my Library dosen`t exist a PhonePlugin. What do I wrong. Pleace help. Thanx

I’m under Mac OS X 10.5.5 and iSync 3.0.2. The plugin does not work. The installer places a new Nokia-5310.phoneplugin folder inside the PlugIns folder (33 items after installation instead of 32). The bluetooth pairing and set up process is OK. The phone icon is good looking in the iSync window. First I tried to sync calendars only and it went thru but several information are missing (for ex. alarms and locations) Unfortunately when I try to sync both calendars and contacts the synchronization stalls at 92 of 244 (by the way my contacts are only 203 ….. ). The log says the following: Connecting to Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Device “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” connected Receiving changes from “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic”. “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” Receiving changes complete “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” Processing changes… “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” Engine processing complete Applying changes to “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” Error [Nokia 5310 XpressMusic] There was an error getting data from the phone. The synchronization may have been canceled on the phone. Device “Nokia 5310 XpressMusic” synchronization failed.

For the first time sync I choose “erase data on device then sync”. Hope you can fix or give us the right hints. Many thanks

This is fantastic. I installed in on my 5 year old Powerbook /w Leopard and it worked flawlessly, as far as contacts go. However, it did not sync the calendar

Your plugIn works fine here (only use the contacts).

I tested another plugIn before and had problems with the address items. They were filed under "notes" on the phone, and at the next sync-process the adressbook on my macmini was in danger.
